International Night
We are very excited about International Night at Wiley that is just around the corner, May 6, 2011 at 6:00 pm. Here is what we have planned for our 3 – 5 classes.
Advanced (4th Period) – We will be teaming up with the Advanced French class and performing the song “Heal the World” by Michael Jackson in Spanish, French and English to promote diversity. Advanced Spanish and Advanced French have collaborated and come up with an idea for what to wear that night. They came up with a design for a t-shirt that they will all wear for the performance. We are looking into ways to make these shirts that will be the most cost efficient so that we can all be dressed the same for the performance. If you have any ideas please let us know.

Verbs
One of the hardest things to learn when you are learning Spanish is to conjugated verbs in the different tenses. In my advanced class students learn to conjugate verbs in present tense.
Las week, we reviewed the Spanish pronouns and conjugate the verbs TENER (to have) and SER (to be). Booth verbs are irregular and very difficult to conjugate. The students are doing a great job mastering and learning these to verbs. I like to encourage the students to come to this page to practice them at home. I like for everyone to learn the conjugation of these two verbs.
Only fourth and fifth graders are allowed to take this elective.
