News in Spanish
October is here and we are very excited learning many things in Spanish elective. This week we will be learning and improving our classroom vocabulary. Students will practice and learn vocabulary words about items in the classroom and around the school. They also will participate in small conversations about school. Art will be used to enhance the learning of the Spanish vocabulary. The students will sing a song about the classroom.
To celebrate the Hispanic Heritage month; the students in Spanish elective will work on homemade project. I like to invite parents and students to work together completing this assignment.
Continuing II to Intermediate students will select a country in class. Then, I will give each student a cut-out of a lady and a man. Parents and students are encouraged to research about typical dresses in the country (student selected country) and make the appropriate outfit for the female and male.
Materials to use:
Construction paper
Tissue paper
Yarn
Cotton
Fabric and anything else that you could think about using
Due date:
October 28th
Students enrolled in advanced Spanish will be challenged on a different project about geography.
Gentle reminder:
A binder for 3-5 graders
